Faucets
There are so many types and styles of faucets on the market that we are just going to list some items to check for when purchasing a faucet for a stone countertop.
If using 3cm or 1 1/4" thick material for your countertops, measure the length of the threaded area of the faucet to make sure that it is long enough to reach through the stone and have enough thread left to secure the mounting hardware. (usually a nut and washer)
Most "single handle" faucets, where the handle is attached to the back of the spout, come with an optional plate that is about 10" wide. This plate is for use with overmount sinks that have three holes for the faucet. It does not need to be used with an undermount sink.
If using a double-bowl sink, make sure the spout of the faucet can pivot and is long enough to comfortable reach each bowl.
If you have a ledge or window sill behind your sink, make sure that there is enough clearance for the faucet. |
